Car subwoofer

On second thought, I might be getting a better pair of headphones so bookshelves won't be needed yet.

I am looking to upgrade my car sub though, since after spending a couple of hours with some friends over his truck I've come across a couple of ideas.

Looking for a decent 12" sub or a higher-end 10" sub. Of course, it must be in perfect working order. Currently, I've got a 10" JLAudio 10W in a sealed box paired with an MTX monoblock amp. It's nice, it digs but I want more spl and deeper bass.

SQ>SPL in this case, but anything would be better than what I've got now. The project I've got in mind will yield as much as 1.5cu ft so that shouldn't limit what type of sub I can throw in there.

Let me know what you've got, kind of anxious to start putting things to work :)

I was thinking more like a single JL Audio 10W6, or a Rockford Power series sub. (I want to make a custom enclosure that'll most likely use the spare tire area)

The JL Audio I've got hit harder than my neighbors Xplodes.

    Thanks though!

I have a couple of 12" subs. I have a D4 Elemental Designs 13Ov.2 and I also have another brand subwoofer (the name escapes me). Both of which have similar xmax around 16-18 mm. They both are heavy built drivers at around 25lbs each. The x brand sub has a high-roll surround as well and is a 4 ohm driver. I'll let them go for a reasonable price. Let me know if you are interested.
