Polar Watch & Transmitter Battery Questions

My Polar F6 heart monitor watch is out of juice. I see 4 small screws on the back of it and I do own a small watch repair kit. I also have a T-31 Coded Transmitter (chest strap) that I'm not sure if the battery is working on it.
Does anyone know how much it cost to send in the watch and transmitter to have the battery replaced on both? Has anyone sent their Polar watch and transmitter in before?
Does anyone know if the battery replacement process on the F6 is a simple procedure just like any other quartz watch? I think the battery is a standard type.
Should I ditch the T-31 and get a new version with the user replaceable battery?
Thx

I replace the batteries in my polar stuff myself. Sending it to polar if you prefer is not expensive. They have a price list on their site.Turntable: Empire 208
Arm: Rega 300
Cart: Shelter 501 III
Phono Pre: Aural Thrills
Digital: Pioneer DV-79ai
Pre: Conrad Johnson ET3 SE
Amp: Conrad Johnson Evolution 2000
Cables: Cardas Neutral Reference
Speakers: SDA 2.3TL, heavily modified -
I would guess that the watch is a standard battery. Not sure about the chest strap. Again, this is an ASSupmtionLudicrous gibs!
