Polk Audio cs2 cherry sold out in NewEgg

Hi,
I am very much interested in this cs2 cherry center channel speaker. I missed this in new egg, which was listed for $119. They are sold out. Would they restock again, given the possiblity that polk audio discontinued this product?

They pop up from time to time, so keep an eye out for them. The 70's always seem to come back, and those are also "discontinued" Newegg just seems to keep finding those things on the street or something, lol. Welcome to Club Polk.

I have cherry polk audio Monitor 70 fronts, hence looking for cherry cs2. I got 70 from new egg. It is awsome. Looking to get cherry cs2 to sound match and color match.

Newegg has 300 Cherry CS2s on order. Hopefully they will be in stock soon. Also they are now 100 dollars instead of 120. Great price.

Update on this. I called Newegg, and they said, It is on Order with the vendor, but do not know when it will make it out. As for the last ETA of 07/05 the vendor could not fill it.

ETA is now 08/03.. May be it might be last set of inventory. Since they are selling aggressively those replacements..

bah, just won an ebay auction from polk direct on the cs2...my polk system is officially complete!

NewEgg had a restock date of early July on the site for the Cherry CS2, then they moved it back to August 3rd. As of today, I noticed it no longer has an ETA date and just says "product unavailable".

This is heartbreaking if they are not truly getting the 300 additional CS2's NedH referenced....anyone happen to know the scoop??

My Cherry 70's are so very lonely at the moment

Looks like they changed their mind and converted all the 300 cs2 to cs2 Series II and sell at higher price???

Even I asked about it, they mentioned it IS ON ORDER with the vendor. They changed the ETA to 08/03 later.. now it is un available...

Dont know whats happening with New Egg.

Yeah they told me about that order but I haven't checked with them in a while. I am still in need of that damn center channel lol. Dunno if i should cough up the dough for the cs2c or get the cs20 or buy the refurbished cs2 off ebay. Any thoughts?

I actually had the cs2 in black then RMA'd it for a cherry since they said it would come back. Wish i kept my black cs2 for 99 bucks.

I'm also in the market for an older (black) CS2. I just picked up a pair of 70's last weekend during the last sale on Newegg, and since it said "August 3rd" for the expected ETA for the CS2, I didn't think twice. Now, I'm pretty much screwed as I scour every possible corner of the globe for a matching black CS2. I keep losing on eBay, so I have no idea what I'm going to do at this point. Being forced to pay twice the standard price is going to bug the living #%%* out of me! lol...

Just buy a refurbished one from eBay guys. Not that bad at 110 or so winning bid.

Ever since the new series came out (three days ago), the bidding for the old refurbished ones has been going nuts. The average winning bid jumped $40 overnight, and it now looks like $120+ will be normal... and remember, we're talking about refurbished items with the ebay deal when, just two weeks ago, Newegg was selling brand new CS2's for $99.

I'm willing to pay a small premium for being late to the party, but that also means I have to win one of those stupid auctions, which isn't easy now that all the bidding has gone crazy...

Which is a better speaker? The CS2b or the CS20? They both are similar and the rest of my speakers are cherry monitors. Not sure if my center should be black to match my entertainment equipment or cherry to match my other speakers.

In any case is CS2 or CS20 a better speaker? For music. Do they both mesh with my monitor 70's and 60's?

Now Polk audio direct ebay also sold out of cs2 (both cherry and black)

I am glad I grabed before it is gone!!

Now the only option is little expensive cs2 Series II(which is only new egg exclusive NOT polk audio official version) or TSi series CS20 which is expensive.

But the thing is all of the CS2, CS2 Series II, CS20 have same Audio quality(same driver and tweeter material) but priced differently with only cosmetic updates.

In this case a cheaper CS2 is a steal!

Since I didn't have a 100 posts I couldn't list a New CS2 Cherry and New Pair T90e's Black with real MDF wood here. I went to all Black CS2 and M70's
I just delivered them to happy campers:)
