Help! Suggested Tubes for Aric Audio 3.6 Preamp

Help Please.

Picked up a Aric Audio 3.6 preamp awhile back which is my first venture into tubes. It came with some Baldwin 12au7 (Slyvania) I think which sounded ok. Purchased Some RCA cleartops 12au7's which sounded much better but now can't help but wonder what else is out there.

Can anyone here running one of these preamps give me a recomendation as to what you have used and liked? Any help would be appreciated as I don't have alot of funds to spend on many pairs of tubes at the moment.

    Mullard and Telefunken although I do not have that pre. The Baldwins and RCA are very good as well.

    Might also concider some Mazdas. Doc has some for sale here. I have a pair in my phono pre and like them over the cleartops I was using.

    Will check with Doctorcilantro and see what he recomends. Anyone here have any experience with this particular preamp?

    Mullard.....orange or white globe Amperex.
    CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.
