Is this a good setup for HT?
Hi, I have been wanting to build my own HT system and not get any HTIB. Recently I just purchased a pioneer vsx-819 receiver and I just received my Polk audio Monitor 70 from newegg today for my front and I have been reading the best match center will be the cs2. Now my question is the surround. I have read most people said the monitor 40 would be the best choice. But with the layer of my living room it will be very difficult to install and hard to get wife approval . So I'm looking at RC80i right now as my surround. Will that be a good match or is there any better option for in ceiling?
Thank you in advance and I can't wait to go home and listen to the Monitor 70

Don't know if the RC80i's are timbre matched to the rest of your Monitor series or not, and while it would be best to keep them all timbre matched, it isn't the end of the world if your surrounds are from a different line. Timbre matching is very important with your front three and you have accomplised that with the 70's and the CS2. Sorry I couldn't be of more help, welcome to Club Polk.

Thanks for the info, I will make sure I get the CS2 for my center . Yesterday I finally got to hook up the system and listen to my M70 and it sound GREAT!! Now I have read that these speaker pretty much don't need a subwoofer for music. As I was listening to some music yesterday I felt the bass is good but it seem like is not as strong as the old 5.1 speaker I have for my computer. I just want to make sure that's normal or I didn't get the setting on my receiver right? But the speaker is loud and clear and the high and Mid are great so I guess eventually I will need to get a sub .

Welcome to Club Polk.
Having a seperate sub to enhance both music & movies is always a good thing. Regular speakers can only go so low, a sub will fill in where the speakers can't go.Marantz AV-7705 PrePro, Classé 5 channel 200wpc Amp, Oppo 103 BluRay, Rotel RCD-1072 CDP, Sony XBR-49X800E TV, Polk S60 Main Speakers, Polk ES30 Center Channel, Polk S15 Surround Speakers SVS SB12-NSD x2
