Hi,
I'm new to the forum here and have been looking around for some guidance on selecting a set of surrounds for my current setup.
I'm using Rti4 mains, CSi3 center, and I am considering using RM8's for my rear surrounds. My receiver is a 6.1-Channel, 600W(100W x6) Yamaha HTR-5740. Thoughts?
I like the size of the RM8's and more importantly I think it's about as big as the wife will allow me to mount to the wall behind the couch so there is no way I can get away with another set of anything close to the size of the RTi4's for my surrounds.
Thanks!

If not the RM8's, how about the OWM3 or OWM5?

    Hello,
Welcome to the Forum! I believe I would rather recommend either the OWM3 or OWM5 as the surround channels. All of the RM series have built in high pass filters limiting the frequencies they can produce. While bass response isn't so much a concern for the surround channels, I still believe you need more of a full range speaker.
    Enjoy, Ken

+3 on the OWM series. They will be the best option for you, IMHO. Welcome to Club Polk.

Thanks for the replys! I'm keeping my out for a good deal on the OWM5's. Any body seen that wire raceway for corners? It looks like 1/4 round molding. I'm hoping to find it local to the Seattle area but will probably have to order online.
