Having never watched 1/2, have to say that this is the best film I've watched so far this year, and IMO, best animated film I've ever seen. Kudos to Pixar for another masterpiece, and arguably their best work yet. Completely worth the midnight premiere.

TS 1 & 2 are by far Pixars best by leaps and bounds, everything they've done since has not even come close.

I so cannot wait to see this.
    If...
Ron dislikes a film = go out and buy it.
Ron loves a film = don't even rent.

How can you have never seen 1 and 2? Did you just get out of the caves in Afghanistan??

As usual, a ridiculous statement by Ron :)

    Bravo, Pixar. Bravo.

Lots of laugh out loud moments but not as funny as Toy Story 2. The plot is a bit darker and may be a bit scarier for the younger kids. At times, a bit long at one hour and 43 minutes. The 3-D is very nice but not really necessary.

Ultimately, the Toy Story trilogy is a timeless masterpiece and part 3 is a wonderful conclusion that leaves you feeling kinda sad as we all bid farewell to the toys we know and love and the jingle that will always bring fond memories...

And as the years go by,
    Our friendship will never die.
You gonna see it's our destiny.
You got a friend in me.
You got a friend in me.
Yeah, you got a friend in me.

Oh, btw, the short at the beginning of the movie is pretty neat. It's a bit different from what we're normally used to in a Pixar short but very well done.

Toy story one was great, Meet the Robinson's was great as well, but honestly the second toy story was bad not terrible just bad. I hope this one does not stink as well, will see in a little while.

Just got back a bit ago. Honestly I am not sure how I felt about the movie. If I had to give a dead answer I would say it was ok or good. It was not great and not something I will add to my collection in the future. That is sad to say but true.

What are you, an undercover film critic? And even those have given it a 99% overall rating on Rotten Tomatoes.

Count me in as one of those that "didn't get it". good movie? Yeah. But about 60% of the way through it, I was ready for it to freaking end. Weird. I normally love these type of movies.

Sean...facepalm. And you're one of the younger ones...

I caught the midnight show - loved it. A lot better than 2 IMO, I tried re-watching 2 a few years ago and got bored 30 minutes in. If you haven't seen 1, you are doing yourself a grave disservice. For me Pixar's offerings are something like:

    1. Monster's Inc
    2. Toy Story
    3. Finding Nemo
    4. Wall-E
    5. TS 3
    6. Up
    7. The Incredibles
    8. Bugs Life
    9. Cars
    10. Ratatouille
    11. TS2

I know. :( On top of that, my maturity level often sinks well below what my age would indicate. For example:

I left "How To Train Your Dragon" feeling kinda disappointed about not having a dragon of my own! Heck, earlier today I got jealous of this one kid who had a large Castle/Knights LEGO set in his shopping cart. Yet, I didn't get Toy Story 3. *Shrugs*

I was the same way for how to train your dragon that was a great movie. My GF was pinching my cheeks when we left saying how adorable I was watching the movie. Toy story just didnt do it for me.

Good film, not as good as 1 or 2, just not as funny, much more serious which I was not expecting. But a good effort from Pixar.
