RTI Remotes

Wow. I went through a 2hr demonstration on these products yesterday, (including programming) and I'm very impressed. Granted, I've never had hands-on experience with anything better than a Harmony, but these remotes absolutely put Harmony remotes to SHAME. The 2-way stuff is really really cool. Technology seems to be on-par with Crestron, but not nearly as difficult to program.

I suppose you get what you pay for, but I'd be willing to pay a lot more for the stuff these things can do. (Once I have a home capable of utilizing its features)

Another cool thing is they're a MN-based company. Anyone used their products?

Never owned one. but every report/review I've seen said they were top notch.

There is a catch, however.....you have to have it programmed, RTI will not provide the software to the end-user. They are geared strictly to custom installers.

URC makes similarly functional remotes that IMO, also put Harmony to shame in build quality, and programming flexibility. I currently use the MX-880, and love it.

Yes, that is a downside. Fortunately I work for a custom installer. ;)

We currently carry Universal... just added RTI this week. The MX-880 is a nice piece. What all do you control with it?
