New speaker's plugs

I am receiving a pair of new speakers from Polk tomorrow and I am wondering how to safely/easily remove the plugs on those new speakers that cover the 5-binding post. I don't wanna cut my finger like last time again.

You're really serious, huh? How about a small, thin knife blade? (Don't cut yourself with that!) Another trick is to unscrew the plastic nut completely off. I think the little caps will pop off with the nut.

Thanks. What are they called ? In case I need to address them in the future.Speaker: LSi 15

+1 to the unscrewing the metal/plastic nut all the way off.
I don't know what they're called exactly, they're just little plugs. I tossed mine in a tiny ziplock bag and tossed the bag in my speaker's packaging box otherwise I was sure I'd lose them.Truck setup

As stated, unscrew the nuts, use your fingernails or a knife blade, if your nails are stubs, and pop them right out.

Lol, should tell that to the guy I sold my LSi's to. I had the bag in my pocket when I drove over to drop the speakers off.
We pulled them out, and as he was looking them over he asked about the little buggers. Sure enough he wanted them and I handed them over.Truck setup

They serve only one purpose. In Europe, the plug heads on an electrical cord have two round prongs that just happen to be the same size and spacing as the binding post banana holes. Lawyers :rolleyes:Political Correctness'.........defined

I've heard that before. Why anyone would plug in a power cord into their speakers is beyond me..........MORE POWER?!Truck setup

Just received a pair of LSI15. very beautifully. They are like masterpiece sitting in my room. Can't comment on the sound quality yet since I am waiting for the amplifier that is coming tomorrow.
The speaker plugs are quite easy to take off. Just unscrew the hex and pry it out gently with your fingernail. I was worried for nothing. The first speaker that I had I couldn't unscrew the hex all the way so it was a pain (literally) to take it offSpeaker: LSi 15
