Capital Audiofest Raffle for Charity

I'm posting an internet raffle for some items from the Capital Area Audiofest on behalf of The Githens Center and the wonderful soul of our resident Polkie, George Grand. He's been a long term resident of our collective forum and his daughter Tiffany was a hero, and bright light not only within his family but of the organization overall.

Polk and I would like to continue that effort for our friend and his loved one.

These items will be raffled off and all proceeds will be donated to the charity listed below, with a closing date of July 15th. You can certainly give as you see fit but for the purpose of this drawing, the mid of July is the deadline.

The Polk Audio signage that was used for the Capital Area Audiofest is going to be "raffled" to raise money for The Githens Center. The product images are high resolution on sturdy foam core board and are suitable for framing. You'll also receive two(2) Hitmaster tshirts and a BUNCH of other knick knacks if you win.....SUPER SWAG! Just take a close look at the third photo for the rest. I've included an ever growing list below of the goodies and will add to this list if I wrangle up some more.

They would make a pretty cool addition to any audio nuts room, especially if you have LSi9 loudspeakers.

The tickets are $5/ each....and you may buy as many as you like or simply donate. There's nothing wrong with $5 and if that's what you can do, awesome.

Please make all checks or money orders made payable "The Githens Center" and mail them directly to me via PM for address. I will log everything in a Microsoft Word document upon receipt and it will be available upon request.

If you donate $5, I'll write your name on a generic, store bought, raffle ticket and drop it into a hopper(box). Every $5 gets you another ticket. The drawing will is CLOSED.

Hey, every dollar counts, every thought does as well. Give a little or give a lot....it doesn't matter. If you are struggling, then post some well wishes but join the effort.

Thanks for reading and I look forward to seeing you post, not just donate. There's so much to do and if anything, do something local.

SWAG LIST:

Custom Polk Advertisements from the actual show...and room! These are one of a kind and will never to be printed again.
Polk Audio Hitmaster Tshirt
Polk Audio "Save the Earth" Bag. It fits vinyl perfectly...keep that in mind for your next show.

$10,000 dollars DisneyJoe....seriously? It's a charitable contribution, shouldn't that kinda be up to your morality? Let's say $10 minimum.....for those of you that are conflicted.

Mark - I would suggest you do a set price per raffle ticket, and let people choose how much to donate by how many tickets they purchase. That's how raffles work 'round these parts.
    Ludicrous gibs!

Noah is right. But in this case I think we should set a 'minimum' price with a no MAX limit so people will feel free to contribute well above the minimum for a good cause.

My question is....what is the deadline. As you know I'm REALLY out of the loop here and would like to contribute. But I won't be back in the U.S. till late July? In any case...if I'm not around....and miss the raffle--I'll still send a contribution to Githens directly, so I guess I answered my own question.

Would love to get some Polk knick knacks, but I can't say that I particular like the signage. I would like something like this:

    http://cgi.ebay.com/POLK-AUDIO-HOME-THEATER-ETCHED-GLASS-SIGN-/350363734716?cmd=ViewItem&pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item51934e52bc

Or maybe just a Polk hat. If you can describe the other stuff then I might be in.

You enter or you don't, I'm not going to describe the extras and the signage isn't changing. Sorry.

Polk Audio's legal team ought to be going after that seller... I'm sure that's not a licensed product.

Please. Please contact me a ben62670 @ yahoo.com. Make sure to include who you are, and you are from Polk so I don't delete your email. Also I am now physically unable to work on any projects. If you need help let these guys know. There are many people who will help if you let them know where you are.
    Thanks

I'm not familiar with legal terms, but can they do that? Kinda like how various companies make Harley-Davidson neon signs for a basement/bar/rec room, etc. that are not official Harley-Davidson merchandise.

Heck, you can even buy a NISMO badge for a Nissan 350z that is not from Nissan, or a Ford emblem for your truck that's not made by Ford. Not saying it's right, but I've seen various stuff not made by the manufacturer with the same logo.

The drawing will be July 21st and videotaped on my phone.

Good crew with a good cause.

As an added incentive, perhaps when you videotape the drawing on July 21st you could show a little cleavage, well .... every little bit helps. :)

    Doro,

I want 10 tickets. If I win the biggie, draw another ticket, and that is who you ship the goods to. Sometimes it pays to be #2.

Thanks sis, and to everybody else down there too. Very nice of them.
