Cool garage speakers?

I've got a 20-year-old pair of Sansui bookshelf speakers that I plan to use in my garage when it's finished, but today I ran across an ad from a guy at work who's selling a pair of these. Probably not the greatest sound, but they sure would say this is a MAN's garage! :D Huh?

Btw, they're Kenwood LS-P5000D - "DIGITAL" for digital audio! Must have put them out around the same time as the first CD players...

I haven't bought them, but I LOL'd when I read his ad - $75, You haul. :eek:

    I've used a huge pair of E-V "Marquis" in my GArage rig for the last 10 or 12 years.

    That link is hilarious! Don't worry, these didn't stand a chance of displacing my beloved (I don't know why...) Sansui's. ;)

    My wife is a Western Maryland College alum, and a current employee of McDaniel - great school! Congrats to your son, and you too!

    LOL, Those speakers need a couple of more drivers! Looks like they tried to put everything known to man in there!
