Well I broke the binding posts on my R30's.

Is this relatively easy to replace? Or do I need to find a speaker specialist?

Call Polk customer service. It's easy to replace.

Can you list the steps involved in doing this? I have the replacement binding posts, but I can't remove the broken one; the post piece that remains in the speaker just turns in place without detaching. I'd hate to put these speakers in permanent storage for lack of a single piece. Your assistance would be greatly appreciated!

Did you remove the entire assembly, or just try to take the post off the back of the speaker?

I first tried taking it out without removing the assembly, but that didn't work. I then removed the assembly and tried to take it out that way, but I may not have had the right tools. I was turning the post on the outside while trying to clamp onto the attachment on the inside, but that didn't appear to be effective, either. That's why I'd like some advice on how others that have actually done it when about doing it. I don't want to break anything that I can't fix (smile)!
