Not a lot of people know of the Ip Man sequel but to me it is one of the best action movie. I can't decide whether the 1st or 2nd one is better but both are great.

Watched the trailer, movie looks interesting. Might have been worthwhile to mention that this is a foreign flick.

Ip Man was OUTSTANDING. Donnie Yen really sold me on his role, and the fight scenes in the first were great. DYING to see the second one; didn't realize this was out yet.

I'm curious how well Bruce Lee was portrayed in 2. Definitely a blu-ray I'll buy the day it comes out.

Great place to pick up foreign blu-rays.

Sorry I didn't mention it was a foreign flick. But don't let that turn you down. If you are into action movie then its a must see movie. The 2nd one has been out early May. I am still waiting for the blu ray release. There was a source saying they are gonna use that "bruce lee" in ip man 3

Ip Man was the master to Bruce Lee. Some of the action looks too fake....especially the much-talked-about table battle between Donnie Yen and Sammo Hung.

I can't disagree but true fights are nothing like what we see in movies. On the movie's defense, my friends and I are thrilled by the actions it delivered.

On a side note I've never been a fan of Sammo Hung. He's huge and some of the moves he did look impossible for someone his size.

Check out Bruce Lee"s "Enter The Dragon"....there's a fight scene between Bruce and a young (yet still portly) Sammo (yes, it's on youtube). The fight and the gear they wore foreshadowed what we today called as MMA.

Don't forget that Sammo Hung, along with Jackie Chan and Yuen Biao, were trained as acrobats (under the same master) in Chinese operas. They are not really martial artists or fighters.

I don't remember Sammo Hung in Ip Man. I might have forgot, since I watched about a year ago. I remember there was a fight scene in another movie, SPL, where Yen "suplexed" Hung onto a bar table.

Sammo is in Ip Man 2 kingtut.

Wow.....what a horrible last 1/4 to Ip Man 2. It went from enjoyable kung fu film to bad rip off of Rocky 4.

Since the 2 Ip Man movies were hits in Hong Kong, an Ip Man prequel is being planned, if not already in production.

Yes, I've heard that as well Danny. Although it sounds like Donnie Yen will not be in the prequel (which would make sense.)

Supposedly the real Ip Man's son might play Ip Man's master in the prequel? Just hearsay at work, but an interesting rumor nonetheless.
