RTi8 as rear.

I have 2 RTi8 being used as rear speakers. Those are 250 watt rated speakers.
From recommendations here, running the speakers over the rated power shoudn't be an issue, provided that you don't go way up with the volume...

Is it possible to bi-amp the RTi8 then, using the 200wpc of the 2205AT + the 110 of the AVR? Would it improve the overall sound quality?
Or if I run them only with the 200wpc of the external amp (below the speaker rating) would be just fine? Same sound quality...

I'm making this question because I'm installing those rear speakers right now and if I wanted to go bi-amp I will need to get an additional 150 feet of 12 gauge speaker wire....

Appreciate any comment.

I do not know if you will hear a difference.Only way to find out is listen for yourself.Plus i didn't know you can use the AVR power and an external amp power at the same time.

Those RTi8's should be fine for surround just running off the AVR.You wont have constant sound like the center which is the workhorse.Just my .02

    Good luck.

Don't think you'll hear a difference with those speakers. This means you'll be giving the 2 drivers 200wpc and the little 'ol tweeter 100+ wpc which is not needed.

You never know until you try it out.
