I had a transaction occur without any help from me, and I wanted to share my thanks.
I purchased a Dynaco ST-70 tube amp with the Welbourne modification from Mike (Face). He lives in Staten Island. I was asking my buddy George Grand about it, and he mentioned he was going to Staten Island on Saturday. Without meeting George beforehand, he brought the cash for the transaction, Mike was nice enough to drive over 20 minutes to drop it off to where George was, and George brought it home. I stopped by GG's house today, in an awful thunderstorm, picked it up, dropped off the cash, and my daughter got a tootsie roll pop out of it! Thanks to everyone, and I am very appreciative. I will give it a listen tonight, if life actually calls down today

Both are good peeps! Get that thing hooked up and start enjoying it.

Funny, James, as soon as I saw you had bought an ST-70 with the Welbourne mod (in another thread), I immediately wondered if you'd bought Mike's amp!
Congrats, and keep us informed as to how it performs in your system.
And, you're right, those are 2 great people. -

Hi All. I second Tool's thought. I'm out here in a backwater of Arizona. I've been hesitant to write much on the forum - most of you appear to have long-standing relationships - but I have appreciated reading through the threads and it has been encouraging to find folks that are concerned for each other and that stay in touch.
Pycroft - thanks for the thread!
Best Wishes to Everyone!
Sincerely,
Pappy1
