Hey everyone,
Thanks to all of the great deals & information on this site I recently purchased a new HT setup.
My Equipment:
HTPC
'Fat' PS3
Xbox 360
Samsung BD-C6900
Samsung PN63C8000
Onkyo TX-SR608
Speakers (All Polk Audio)
4 - Monitor 40s
2 - OWM3s
2 - Monitor 70s
1 - CS2
1 - PSW505
I connected all components and mounted my TV. Now I'm stuck on how I want to connect my speakers. My original idea was to setup 'true' 7.1 and also add in 'wide' speakers. But now I'm thinking I may do 5.1 + wide + height. I know I can't use all speakers all of the time, but they will just be connected to maximize my usage of the different surround modes the Onkyo offers. I will be watching movies, playing games and sometimes listening to music. Would it be worth it do both with adding height speakers, or would it be better to do a 7.1 setup + wides only? Thanks!
