With an appropriate bow to Monsieur Claude Paillard and his skills, here's a link for a gentleman displaying his ground zero, build your own valve project.
Only 2 requirements needed for completion:
1. Serious skills.
2. Serious amount of free time.

..... there are just a couple of things in life that I purposely avoid. One is Tesla coil stuff. Another is vacuum tube stuff. That way I stay out of trouble ( " Uh .... yeah, I'm calling in sick again today. No, I'm not out in the garage setting up a vauum chamber for pulling vacuums in homemade tubes ...... )
