Nope, you're stuck with those loudspeakers.
CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.

TNRabbit, is it really nec to make multiple posts of the same damn thing? You seem to do that a lot lately and if it's a computer/software issue then I can see, but if you are doing it on purpose, it's damn annoying.

SORRY; issues with my computer--didn't realize it kept showing up as different posts....

MOD: Please delete the second two...

WTF would I post the same thing three times on purpose?? I went back to edit twice & apparently it's doing a new post instead of editing the old one....

"You seem to do that a lot lately"--??? First I've seen this happen...

I'm personally not a fan of Carver ALS's but the system below [Including Bob's new amps] produced a sound that stopped me in my tracks. One of the closest systems I have heard to date that you would have sworn they jazz musicians were playing in front of you, even if you weren't blindfolded.

I thought the Amazings needed more room on each side.

They do. Much more room, both to the sides and the back. All of the wrong things were done with this system. All I know is that we had Carver, Sunfire and Lightstar gear on this rig in obviously less than stellar conditions. As soon as they hooked up Bob's tube amps, I was walking by off-axis and literally stopped in my tracks. The system sounded completely different and I knew right away that I liked whatever they changed.

Bob's tube amps were the only thing they changed. I must admit, I was floored at how good that rig sounded.

Not! These are newly constructed from all vintage parts, even the tube sockets, with the exception of a few electronic bits and the custom made chassis.

Lol.................it's not about being an audio snob. It's about paying $18K for a pair of amps and having cheap knobs, and the other thing I noticed is the 0.49c input jacks. It's like putting Farm and Fleet tires on a Ferrari. Just an observation.

He's not interested in that. He is retired and all he wants to do is build tube amps. First and foremost [after family], that is his passion. He done with running companies. He just wants to have a little fun now.

Trust me, he's not in it for the money.

I second that he is not in it for the money. He already made his money several time over.

For him it is now time to play with tubes!
