I think there's a couple of different way's to answer this. I read the Harmon Kardan manual but it doesn't say much about this. I have a modified Onix tube amp that I would like to try bi/amping my mid's and high's on my left and right front speakers. I used the amp before I got the HK and it spread a soundfield that reached beyond my front wall's. I would use the HK for the lower frequency's and if the crossover's do their work this should work. Now, should I try connecting this to my L-F/ R-F out put's from the HK and let the HK handle the lower end. Also the oppo se has L-F/R-F/ out's that could connect to this amp as well. I have my sub hooked to the oppo and it's cleaner sounding than coming from the HK out put. I noticed I can use the volume control on the oppo se and as long as both amp's level is adjusted for this it should work fine. Just what is the correct method for biwireing two different amps together on a set of speaker's?

Basically for bi-amping you need matching amps otherwise you might wind-up with cacophonie (especially SS combined with good old tube amps). However, trial and error is your friend. You should set your amps in the area of half point (or wathever best sound) and simply control with your oppo volume. Simply split the oppo output to each amps input... Testing, sampling and auditionning is your best friend.

    Enjoy!
