DSW microPRO remote issues?

Anyone have difficulty with the microPRO subwoofer remotes? I have a pair of 2000s and the remotes for these things are driving me crazy!! It's either the weakest IR signal I've ever dealt with, or the buttons just aren't engaging properly. Just when I've pressed it several times and am about to give up, the sub will sometimes respond.
I searched on here and saw that someone posted this, but nobody seemed to respond to it. This seems to be the problem with all of my buttons.

I have the MicroPRO 2000. I have found the signal on mine to be weak. I have to get fairly close to the sub for the remote to work properly. Works great if I am in front and relatively close to the sub. Otherwise, I have the same issues you have articulated.

Nope. First thing I noticed when setting mine up was how weak the signal from the remote appeared to be. -
Only fair to post an update here... As it was, I thought this problem affected both of my remotes, but eventually realized it was just one of them. Duh! (They both do look the same, you know?)
Anyhow, Polk sent me a replacement for one of my remotes - everything works as it should now. Thanks Jessica!
