    Did you ever consider that your newer, higher power amp not also has more watts, but could also be a better sounding design? How many amps have you demoed in your system?

    I think your both right, possibly.
    If all else is equal, mote watts will generally have better sound.
    Trouble is, all else is seldom equal. So a well designed amp with 50wpc, may well sound better than a poorly designed 200wpc amp so long as the 50wpc amp is operated within its range.
