Bestbuy has it for $14.99 plus a free dvd of Bond Girls. I've only had a chance to play the opening scene and it was great. Lots of action and bass :)
It's DTS ES matrix 6.1, good enough for me.

Watched last night as a rental. Not a bond fan. The copy I got was full screen. But very enjoyable on the projector. Lots of action - was not all that impressed with the surround. Dialouge was clear and bass was plenty & heavy. Picture quality was very sharp and colors were very clean and natural. Tooo much cheese for me but that IS Bond.

Dr. Spec: Are there bestbuy coupons inside the Bonds Girl dvd? I read somewhere that you get the Bonds Girls and some Bestbuy coupons. I didn't get any coupons and haven't opened the Girls dvd yet.

If memory serves me right, the coupons were only available on pre-order purchases. I could be wrong though.

The coupons are in the Bond Girls, yes.

Audio was WAY overcooked. Watched it at 12 under Reference and it was VERY loud during the action scenes.

Bass was powerful and dramatic and surround use was decent.

Movie was on the cheesy side, but that is Bond.

I'll take the 7-Up and Pringles over the photos of women who I will never ever date, and will never date any of you......

....especially after we eat our Pringles and drink all our 7-Up.

Got it yesterday from BB with the free Bond Girls DVD. Watched it last night. The opening scene is really impressive and the ocean waves really hit me with waves of bass. Other then the idea of having the invisible car, I overall liked the movie.

I thought it was ok. I like fantasy type action sequences, but this was just over the top. I couldn't help but sit ant criticize it.

Just got my pre-order in from Best Buy and I guess they screwed the pooch cause I didn't get the Bond Girls DVD   I called to complain and they are aware of the issue and are "working on it". Hell if my local store still has the deal, I may try out the bestbuy.com return policy and return the product to my local store and pick up the sweet package. Being a Bond fanatic...this is an absolute must.

    Quick question:
    • Did you guys get the regular edition at your local store or was it the special edition with the outer paper shell and the velcro?
    • Is the Best of Bond Girls DVD actually free, or it some kind of rebate form that you have to fill out and return.

    Thnx,
    Tony

    Tony,
the one from the store is special edition (box with flap and velcro). It's a package, you picked up both, and pay one. Not to burst your bubble, but it wasn't spectacular or anything (no provocative poses, or may be my expectation that is out of line? :) ) it's more of chronological history of which Bond screwed which girl)....
I am sorry, I have no opinion on the matter. I am sure you do. So, don't mind me, I just want to talk audio and pie.

You just described what 007 is, over the top. They've always been that way and always will be. Exactly why I enjoy the movies.

But that's how I gauge my Bond......I usually time how many minutes it takes for him to be sleeping with a woman....his best time I think was 4 minutes from the begining credits of the movie.

It's all in the scripts! :D:D he says hi, she says hello, and the rest is history.....

I know thats what Bond is. I guess I meant moreso the things like the guy who had the diamonds in his face....he could have just had those taken out. It's not like they were part of his skull. I should have reworded what I said. I just think that a LITTLE more thought could go into the over the top actions scenes....

Bond Girls was free w/ Die Antother Day and I thought the documentary was very well done. Interviews with many past Bond girls were interesting.

That would have to be "The Spy Who Loved Me". The first scene you see of Bond he is in bed in a cabin on top of the mountain (This is the best Roger Moore Bond film IMO). However, just before Bond you see his Russian counterpart (Barbara Bach) in bed first.

Returned my pre-order BestBuy.com to the local brick and mortar store and picked up my Combo w/Bond Girls. Screw waiting for that crap! Now I'm happy:D

I always thought it was "You Only Live Twice," where Bond fakes his death at the very beginning of the movie after the henchman break into the bedroom (while he's with his girl) and they shoot the bed up.

Goning to have to re-watch "The Spy Who Loved Me" now

Probably the lowest price on the new Bond DVD, kinda interesting too, when was the last time you see Bond in jail for more than a year? and nobody beat the crap out of Bond but the North Korea.

Great DVD, you should add it to your collection.

I knew this one was doomed when I heard H. Berry was going to be in it. Watched it last night and sure enough, she ruined this Bond. Her Ho-bag acting is getting sickening.

Maybe she needs to take some acting lesson's instead of **** star acting lesson's.
