I need to purchase a LSi25 amplifier. I need to replace one that is broken; the one I have just screeches static until I unplug it. Any ideas?

Have you tried Polk customer support? You might be surprized"The legitimate powers of government extend to such acts only as are injurious to others. But it does me no injury for my neighbour to say there are twenty gods, or no god. It neither picks my pocket nor breaks my leg." --Thomas Jefferson

Yes, I tried customer support...they were very helpful. They told me to take a phiilips head screwdriver and remove the amplifier from my LSi25 and take it into a repair place. I went into Best Buy and they have to send it out of state (I'm in Nevada) to get it fixed. I could not find anyone else locally to do this type of work. Nor do I know where I can but a replacement amplifier. so I thought I would check out this Polk forum...Thanks for the reply.Home Theater Configuration:

Don't send it in with Best Buy... that's a terrible choice.
Find a local electronics repair shop, and get a quote. It will probably run you $50-100.11.3 Theater

I am considering calling Polk and orering a replacement amplifier; tried to remove the amplifier but it would not release. Is it glued in to seal it? If I were to get a rplacement amplifier, how would I repalce it. Are there any special instructions or do I need a certified Polk repair tecnician to deal with this.Home Theater Configuration:
