How can I identify these Polks.....with a twist...

Hi, everyone!
I was at an estate sale the other day and was going to purchase a pair of Polk monitors, but the lady asked me to return the next day because they were closing. Well, you guessed it, when I came back the next day, they were gone. I had her down to $45, too .
Anyhow, I dont know how to determine what model they were. What I recall is this:
1. They were approximately 2 feet tall and 1 foot wide.
2. They appeared to be at least 20 years old (based on my less-than-stellar recollection of Polks from that time period)
3. They had 3 drivers, at least one of which had that flat hockey-puck looking center piece of the cone (i.e.: dust cap). I recall the cone appearing glossy?
4. Old school woodgrain finish with black grilles.
5. And, um .they were Polks!
I couldnt look more closely at them because they were high up in a bookshelf lying on their sides.
And of course, because she sold them without waiting on me, I have sour grapes and want to find another pair (not that I need more speakers, mind you .)
I know its not a lot to go on, but maybe itll be a fun challenge for some of you and will help me in the process.
Thanks!

If you're counting the tweeter as a driver, I'd say Monitor 5 or Monitor 7. The driver with the hockey puck is actually a passive radiator, and not a powered driver.
Very nice sound, and well worth $45 if they were in good shape.Ludicrous gibs! -
Sounds like Mon 5's to me. Though a lot of bang for the buck, not too difficult to find them for that price these days.

Pics tell it all.

In the abstract sense, yes they do.
If that comment was supposed to be relevant here, read the full post, and try again.
Like the others, I'd say some version of Monitor 5 (JR, etc.) or Monitor 7. $45 was a fair price, but definitely nothing to beat yourself (or anyone else) up over. -
Thanks, everyone. In looking up pics on line, it looks like it was the 5's. Now I don't have to worry about them so much! Thanks again!
