So I have 10 days off from work...

Day 1 results - Spare room and spare room closet = sanded. Had a crack in both areas - rather small, threw in some more screws - will touch up tomorrow. Hallway is completely sanded, no touch up needed. Insulated attic door.

Things to do for day 2 -
Apply touch up mud to spare room -- sand master bedroom walls and ceiling. Find any spots that need touch up and apply -- if energy levels allows - start on master bedroom closet.

Things to do for day 3 -
Sand master bedroom closet - vacuum the **** out of the entire house - walls, floor, ceiling - everything... cut trim for the entire house - pre sand it as well

Things to do for day 4 - trim out the closets, start trimming out windows

Things to do for day 5 - continue trimming out windows - hopefully finish on this day

Things to do for day 6 - if not done with windows, finish windows - if done, prep trim - mudding the holes

Things to do for day 7 - sand trim, apply more mud where needed and pray this is as long as it takes

Day 8 - Sand trim once more and inspect for places that need more mud - once complete caulk all edges around doors, trim, windows, etc - smooth and let dry

Day 9 - Roll the entire house in primer

Day 10 - Brush in the rest of the house in primer

Thats the goal - lets see what happens!!

So after that, how much do you have left until everything is pretty much done?

I thought you said you had 10 days off work? Sounds like a lot of work to me!

After that - its pretty much laying down the color paint -- then flooring...

tidying up the kitchen (grout) - putting down the quarter round throughout the house - prepping/painting the quarter round...

Clean the entire house - DONE

Then I gotta build the desk in the spare bedroom and suspend my futon from the ceiling haha - then just buy and assemble the furniture for the master bedroom

Once the dust settles and life gets some normalcy to it - Ill start the remodel of the bathroom... that will be a real treat

I understand alot needs to be done -- but right now my house is not even habitable... I mean we basically gutted the house - its either work hard or not have a place to live...

After the inside is done - thats when I can pace myself

    - putting down the quarter round throughout the house - prepping/painting the quarter round...

As a suggestion, cut your quarter round to fit first, then before installation, prime and paint it. After installation, all you'll have to do is fill the nail holes, and touch up, big time saver.

    Good tip!

Alright I forget what day we are on - day 6?

Spare closet and windows = trimmed out.

Will have attic door trimmed and master closet and window (not trimming one of them due to planned bathroom addition) before the end of the night.

Here are pics of the path we are working on, it looks a little rough - we are installing corrugated piping along the higher side of the path to help drainage - but once the entire thing is laid we will go back in and level out the top pavers and such as the dirt settles

Nice work Trey! You've got a lot to be proud about. Quite an achievement. Just think, once you're done, you can flip the house buy another (upgrade) and start all over again!;):D

    Congrats on a great job!

Thanks man! As of this moment I plan to stay here for a long time. I have invested some pretty serious time, blood, sweat, and tears - not to mention money and hard labor in this place...

Between inside and outside work - this place might as well been built by me and my humble crew....

I have everything trimmed out as of this moment - I make shifted the window in the master than as of this moment wont be there once the bathroom is redone - so it will match everything in the room but ultimately wont be there later on...

So tomorrow I will be cleaning the house and patching holes in the trim and any in the walls.. I only hope my new bathroom door arrives before the break is up so I can install and trim it out so the hallway can be complete.

Well it looks like I will come short of my goal by a few steps. At this rate today - by tomorrow I should have everything caulked, depending on how smooth the sanding goes in the morning tomorrow - but I will definitely have all the trim nail holes patched by the end of the day and Im sure I will find some other things to keep me occupied! :)

haha - Im getting tired of doing it! haha

Sheetrock SUCKS - I mean the amount of prep the original walls would have took would have required as much work if not more and would have looked a hell of a lot worse - but DAMN!

Hopefully by tomorrow everything will be ready for caulking...
