Words of Wisdom from a Great Man

There is already a thread lamenting John Wooden and his accomplishments. I'd like to share this little quote that Mr. Wooden attributed to his father:

"Be true to yourself, help others, make each day your masterpiece, make friendship a fine art, drink deeply from good books — especially the Bible, build a shelter against a rainy day, give thanks for your blessings and pray for guidance every day."

John Wooden was much more than a basketball coach. He was truly a great man. Anybody else like to share some of Mr. Wooden's quotes?

Pretty sure Ghandi said that one. This guy was a good coach, but he was no Ghandi ;)

It's a shame one can't even pay respect to someone they admire on this board without it getting trashed.
