I have a couple of LP's and it's great background music and he is a really good lyricist. I generally find I like covers of his songs better than his original works.DKG999

Background music? Kenny G or Yanni, that's background music. Not Leonard Cohen

I find it very engaging. It is nice as back ground music, but I can really get into it front and center on my SDA's.Please. Please contact me a ben62670 @ yahoo.com. Ben - not at home at the moment, but there was a remastered LP that came out last year that is probably my favorite. I think it is his first release, Songs of Leonard Cohen on Sundazed.
Famous Blue Raincoat by Jennifer Warnes is I believe mostly or all covers of LC songs and is absolutely fantastic!DKG999

The Jolida phono pre is a great one. I bumped up to the Pro-Ject Tube Box II SE and with some upgraded tubes it sounds fantastic with my system. The Jolida was on my short list of phone pre's.DKG999

That my man is music to punch yourself in the face to.
I like Leonard Cohen's Hallelujah, but havent been able to get into anything else he has done. On the other hand, I havent listened to all that much that he has done either.

I bought "Cohen Live" after hearing a much younger Leonard singing Suzanne on the
XM radio. It was recorded in various locations including a 1988 visit to Austin City Limits.
Sisters of Mercy is my personal favorite.
As for covers, I really like the verision of Hallelujah on the Shrek soundtrack. One of the
best movie soundtracks IMO...but that's another thread.thall
