What is the recommended maximum length for subwoofer cable to be used in a HT set up?I need to run about a 30' cable to reach my subwoofer's location. Is it ok to join two 15' cables together with a quality adapter or will that affect performance?thanks for the help.

30' can be done, and it's not too bad either. I know monster makes a "monster bass 400" cable that comes in a 36' length. Much longer than that isn't good, and as far as using an adapter for two 15' cables, there would probably be a small dip in signal purity, but it would be negligable.

There are plenty of websites that offer custom cables. You can go to SignalCable, CAT Cable or even BetterCables. All these guys will offer you good deals, SignalCable gives a 5% discount to club polk members.
