2.3TL upgrade expectations

I will be upgrading my 2.3TL's in the near future through Ben. For now, I was curious on the upgrade expectations versus stock. I already have 198's and spikes, so this would be more of just the XO upgrade. I love the sound as is, so I can't image what to expect after the upgrade. (If there is already a thread out there, I apologize for bringing it back up and please feel free to post the link.)

    I'm ready to pull the trigger on this order from Sonic Craft (15% dicount this past weekend) and is it correct for upgrading my 2.3TL's?

    2 Mills MRA-12 0.5 ohm
    4 Mills MRA-12 22 ohms
    2 Sonicap 5.8uF 200VDC (custom)
    2 Sonicap 8uF 200VDC
    2 Sonicap 16uF 200VDC
    2 Sonicap 18uF 200VDC
    2 Sonicap 27uF 200VDC

    F1- Your teasing me!...ha ha I also just swapped speakers with my pops again (he liked the Modded RTA12C's I had going on) for some SDA-2B's. I jumped on getting Ben going on the crossover & TL upgrades as we speak. I am hearing great things about that to! Should I expect around the same sound for the two after they are modded? I am sure they will be on different sound stage levels (and more powerful bass on the 2.3TL obviously)

    Bill- I have no idea if this stock list looks good, hopefully someone with more knowledge can post.

    To avoid disappointment might I suggest you trade your modded 2.3TLs for my stock 2.3s BEFORE you listen to them. The gas money is on me:)

    Personally, I would use a 10 ohm and 11.5 ohm resisitor wired in series. That half ohm makes a difference.

    +1. I unfort. don't have the TL's but when I got mine done the detail is off the charts.

    Parts of songs that you never knew existed before become alive. You'll wonder how you listened without them.

    ok....I got the upgraded SDA-2B's (TL'd) XO's back from Ben and now have over 100 hours on them. All I can say is WOW!! what a difference all around, I highly recommend this upgrade as it's worth ever penny and more. I also spiked the bottoms which really tightened up the Bass. I am getting BIG speaker sound out of these..very nice! So F1nut was right, I did in fact receive me first treat. Now my 2.3TL's XO's are out to Ben as we speak....if simliar results happen, my head might explode in Joy...ha ha I will certainly let everyone know that info once they are back together and broken in some.

    Just thought everyone should know this info! and if your thinking about upgrading....don't think...Do it!
