Minty RTA 15TL's

Replacing my RTi8's with these. Found them locally and they are really mint.

Yes, they won't match with the CSi5, but who cares really.

Dave (the seller) is a member here but does not post much. He had upgraded the xovers and replaced the SL3000's with RDO's. I took the RDO's but asked him to leave the stock xover (he had bypassed the stock one).

I was at his place this weekend and he has a really nice system. He's into building tube amps and I heard what just a few watts can do when done well. Pretty awesome.

He brought them over in his truck today and we spent some time listening to some tunes and talking music. Great guy. You should participate more Dave!!!!!

I spent a little time listening to them. Driven by a Denon receiver and using the OPPO as source. What a difference vs. the 8's. I can listen to music now in m HT.

Crazy? Point to point with no board and good quality components. Nothing crazy about that. The only reason I didn't want them is because I plan to make some modifications and he had the original values. Luckily he has another pair so he can use them.

i did not mean any ill will toward them i liked them just could not afford the set and liked the cossovers

i live in indiana you looking for a almost mint set of rta 11s to go with the 15s ??? there was a set of 15s in cincy for 100 and i missed the set

Yeah, I need more ... but not right now thats for sure... although I wish I hadn't missed the set for $100 myself...I called first thing:) I have to set up what I have.

I decided to keep the Monitor 7s for a while longer when I saw the minty 15s...fit my room better! and then I spent my savings on the 2.3s. I was still tempted to go listen to see IF I would have liked them over the 2.3s. Sometimes its good just to wonder:p

I am really digging these speakers. I have them in the 2 channel rig and they sound fabulous. And I have not upgraded the xovers yet....

Hey Ricardo what Denon are you using to power them.

I just got a get of 15's and was curious. Did you ever power them with anything else other than the Denon ???

I was using the Denon 3808.

Right now they are in my 2 channel rig with the 250 WPC Pass Labs. So sweet. There's something about the RDO's that pull you in.

Thanks Ricardo. I won't be powering them with anything that powerful but looking forward to hearing them in my backup rig.

Are the 198's more of a noticable difference than changing out the 194's ??
