LSI Impedances

I have the LSI line of speakers. The 15's and the 9's,the impedances are 4ohm.Is that when they are both hooked up to the same output at the amp or say when a person is bi-amping does the decoupling of the two make them 8 ohms?
What i have is the 2 sets both operating as fronts, since i am not using the 7.1 anymore, ive used the 2 side surround channels of the amp to run as a second set of fronts.I just bought and hooked up a Sunfire 7401 amplifier and i would like to wire the highs to the current output on the amp,and the lower section of the 2 sets to the voltage outs.
Instead of bi-wiring up and down on one speaker to the same channel,i was thinking to bi-wire across the 2 sets to one channel.I would still like to maintain the 4 ohm impedance.Does anyone see a reason why this can't be done,I hope i've explained myself properly.
Thanks for any input you may have.

Keep it simple, your Sunfire has more than enough power to drive the speakers without biwiring. It is highly unlikely you will hear any benefit & simply having a useless mess of wires everywhere. Welcome to Club Polk.

He's not talking about bi-wiring. He's talking about a mess of sound, AKA, stacking.

I wasn't really talking about a mess of sound, and know what you mean and am not taking it negativley,i just thought of utililising the current output to soften the highs of both sets of fronts, but i think I'll take blue foxes and cfrizz's advice and just leave well enough alone. Thanks

I run my highs from the current outputs and the lows off the voltage taps with great results. I concur with the rest in that you will need no more power than what you have on hand to make the LSi's come to life.
