LSiF/X placement
This week I will be putting my first HT together. My last project is placing the surrounds on the wall. Is the optimal position for them, two feet above and behind ear level?
Thanks...

You should try and have them 90-110 degrees to the side and and higher than your head while standing, or about 18 inches down from an 8 foot ceiling.
Placing them at 90 degrees puts you in the null zone and makes them less noticeable and still allows them to deliver all the information but in a non directional fashion.
Experiment with height and side placement before permanently mounting as your preferences may be different than mine or "by the book".
