$50 bucks for a power cord? Am I crazy to spend that much?

So, I already bought it, last minute eBay buy and disconnection from common sense, possibly.

I should have checked with you folks BEFORE, but still curious if you think this was worth it?

It would be replacing the stock generic power cord (normal looking heavy duty black power cord) on my 20 year old Mark Levinson amplifier.

Feel free to flame me for being an idiot.... If you thinks it's snake oil, let me know! :) But, just remember it's a $50 cord, not a $500 one! ;)

Thanks in advance for any thoughts!

Thanks, yes, it is. Might be part of the Snake Oil™? :D

Main reason for buying it is that I have another IC cable I bought from them for $35 and love it. So I know they make decent priced good stuff!

Very nice cable. If your just starting out check out www.signalcable.com. Prices are very good and you get to try a quality product. 50 bucks is pretty good though.

HI I love you but it is not about the oil, but about the price!

And, well, shouldn't we all love the good stuff? ;)

Most PCs, even cheaper 3 pronged varieties,...rarely sell for less than 30 dollars--and those are the cheap ones? So Joe is right, 50 is not expensive at all. And on another note. A lot of equipment has two leads out but three prongs into your wall socket. Have you 'ever' tried to FIND those PCs..they are VERY hard to come by?

    Most definitely a good price.

I just built a few of my own PCs, and the cost of the connectors alone are more than $30 ($19.95 WattGate IEC, $13. for Marinco Hospital-Grade plug ;))

And they do make a difference.
So, are you willing to put forth a little effort or are you happy sitting in your skeptical poo pile?

The virtual dynamic's Master SeriesLE pc seems to work well in the Rabbit Hole Rig. I also use some PS Audio Statement early generation and Shunyata, which are not bad, it would be better though if they were all the same brand.
