I had been out in the garage, and I felt what I thought was a a piece of string or wire from one of my wife's projects brush up against me.

So, I went into the house and sat down at the computer, and I felt it again up by my neck, so I did a shoulder roll, and when when I did, I looked over....And there was a FREAKIN TARANTULA ON MY SHOULDER!!!!

Now I didn't scream like a little girl or anthing, but I did swear...A lot. I jumped up, and didn't waste any time brushing it off, pulling off my shirt, and then using a towel to make sure it was off me.

Now, I couldn't have a tarantula roaming around in the house with a bunch of estrogen producers here, so I had to track the little critter down and evict him. Fortunately he was easy to find, and now it's outside where it belongs.

After my freak out dance, I didn't see the cat until this morning.
My equipment sig felt inadequate and deleted itself.

I've got a friend with a pet tarantula, I've let the critter crawl on me, and I can assure you that if I found one on me that was uninvited I would have pissed myself.

Next time, make sure to scream like a little girl-Makes for a better story later!

    Cheers,

Crazy! I've seen one tarantula around my house. I made sure he didn't get in the garage, but otherwise left him alone so he could do his thing and eat crickets and such.

Sorry I couldn't make it Saturday. Thanks for the invite!

ROTFLMAO :D Well detailed, as I was reading you I can imagine the pest crawling on me! I wonder how I would have reacted (probably similar to you). Am I so glad we don't have such pest in Canada! Even snakes, I hear a lot of stories about snakes in some of the states and again good thing we don't have that kind of problems in Canada

Better one of those than a black widow. Or a brown recluse.
The tarantula is normally pretty mellow. We had one crawl up the leg
of one of the cub scouts a few years back. We scooped it up into a coffee can,
punched a few holes in the lid. The boys spent the whole day showing off their "find".

I looked at some houses in Arizona, I like that state......2 big reasons against

    1) scorpions....in houses
    2) Tarantulas .... " "

Was that tarantula an American citizen, or illegal? Just curious! ;)

........I had a pet tarantula named Yolanda when I was a kid. Not sure of her citizenship...

Never saw one outside of a terrarium in California.
