Great in-ear monitors?

Anyone use a pair on in-ear monitors they really liked? I just got a Zune HD (awesome, btw :D) and want to get the most of of this player w/o a portable amp. I currently have Sennheiser CX300 buds. Anyone use a set of buds that would be a good improvement without breaking the bank? Or would it be pretty much the same w/o a portable amp? I like the Senns, but they are a bit bloated in the bass and don't have the clearest midrange. Never heard Shure, but everyone seems to reference them.

I have a set of the Shure SE210 IEM's. These are only the second up in the series, however you wouldn't be able to tell that by listening to them. They sound far better than they should for the cost. In fact, some people recommend these over the higher models due to claims of bloated bass on the higher end ones.

Klipsch makes some of the BEST in ear monitors I've ever heard. They ARE NOT cheap, but they are incredible. I believe they come in four different spendy levels, the bottom about $100 and the top being about $400.00

Zitro, I hope you don't mind. I'm also interested in a pair of in-ears for my Zune HD. Can any of you describe the tonality with your buds? For example, if Klipsch sounds anything like their speakers, well...

I've been considering some earbuds as well, and maybe I've got the terminology wrong, but aren't earbuds a completely different type of headphone than in-ear?

Earbuds (the way I think of them) aren't sealed. They just rest in the folds of the ear. Like these:

While the in-ear types, you twist them into the ear canal and they are sealed. Like these Etymotics:

I have a pair of the Etymotics, and while I like the sound, they are uncomfortable and I can't leave them in more than 30-60 minutes.

I've been considerng the Yuin earbuds, so I'm interested in the responses and other brands discussed in this thread. Has anyone heard these Yuins?

Not at all. My first speakers were Klipsch horns, and I wasn't a big fan; that has made me stay away from their IEM's.

Stay away from the entry level Klipsch buds. They are absolutely terrible. I have a pair of the image x10's that I really like. They sound nothing like Klipsch speakers. Not harsh or fatiguing at all. Clean an clear, with good bass response (for earbuds). To me they seem well balanced in terms of sound reproduction. I'm sure it will vary from person to person, but I find them very comfortable to wear too.

I know a couple of people with Sure buds and the comments are similar to the comments from owners posted earlier.

I have these and could not be more happy. Some say they are mid range and that the memory wire gets in the way but they handle good when mowing and on the plane.
