Found this at a local thrift store. Took it to the counter and asked if they had the remote. I got a big fat NO! :D So I took it back and sat it on the shelf. Left the store for a couple of hours and came back to see if if was still there. Yep, there it was. Still no remote either...lol Anywaay, I took it back to the counter and asked the guy if he would take less for it. He promptly made me an offer I could not refuse. She has a few bruises and scratches, but I think she will clean up nicely. I have been wowed by the sound of this thing. Has a lot of cool features, like passive or active volume control..

OOPS I tagged this as a GTP and its GFP

    That is a GFP-750, not GTP-750.

Nice grab, I think, you don't mention what you paid. It's a killer pre-amp and I believe the remote is still available from Adcom. I love mine and probably won't get rid of it unless I find a nice high end tube pre-amp. That pre is dead neutral and some don't like how truthful it can be. Me, I love it, the soundstage is fricking huge

In addition to active/passive it has an HT bypass and it has fully balanced in's and out's. I see the shorting pins are still there on the balanced input. Those usually go missing and without them if you use the single ended connections the gain suffers, so that's a plus.

Why are we looking to reduce a subjective experience to objective criteria anyway? The subtleties of music and audio reproduction are for those who appreciate it. Doh.... Sorry. I stand corrected it is a GFP and not a GTP. LOL Thanks for the correction. I tried to correct the title but I guess that is not an option.:D

There are a couple currently on audiogon in the 725-750 range. So I'm sure whatever you paid for it you probably got it 'dirt cheap'. I mean 'WHO' finds a quality pre-amp in a Thrift Store?? And how did 'it' even get there???

You should count your blessings. I've been looking for its lower brother the 715 for ages. And I NEVER find it in my price range. It's always up there--actually, 600 or more?

I have been keeping my eyes pealed. The original remote is fairly cheap as well.

Please. Please contact me a ben62670 @ yahoo.com. Make sure to include who you are, and you are from Polk so I don't delete your email. Also I am now physically unable to work on any projects. If you need help let these guys know. There are many people who will help if you let them know where you are.
    Thanks

That's great. I know when big Ted had is oil changed and lube job he was up and about relatively quickly. It's amazing how they can work on something as serious as the heart's vascular system and have you up and about the next day.
