I just scored a vintage Pioneer SX 980 receiver off my local craigslist for $50 included was a pair of Bose 501's from 1977, the cool part was the seller lived 3 blocks away. It's in great condition and weighs a ton actually about 50 lb's.
Will I hear a difference on my Polks compared to my Luxman?
Any thoughts, suggestions or opinions would be greatly appreciated as I'm a newbie at this.

If one of them sounds a lot different from the other (Luxman vs Pioneer), and they are roughly the same power, one is probably broke.
Pioneer is all the rage these days but whatever Luxman, I like it more. -
