The very first Mini Monitor's...with Peerless tweeters.

You don't see those very often. I've never heard them, but from what I've gathered, they don't exactly sound fantastic. If the price is right though, it'd probably be worth it for the cool factor at least.

The Peerless tweeters are some great sounding tweets. They'd probably make great surrounds if they were paired up with a pair of Peerless 5/7/10's up front, and a custom Peerless center channel.:)

Personally, I think they're some pretty cool looking little speakers, if nothing else. I'd love to get my ears on a pair sometime.

I didn't see that he wanted 200 smackers.

    Time to fold.

Cool design; it's little more than an odd speaker. Might come in handy as side/rear channel speakers in an HT. Offer him $80 max if those Peerless tweets are still in working order.

I didn't know he was asking that much! $200? He's out of his mind. You could get yourself a pair of SDA 2A's, or a REAL nice pair of bigger Monitors for that much.

I agree, $50 or so would be more in the ball park.

It looks like the un-natural shine may have been produced by armorall or tire dressing etc. Could be bad news for the MWs & passives.:confused:

Definitely an unnatural shine. If you look closely at the photos, "divits" that come with anything furniture like (which speakers enclosure are, but the tend to be with a rougher crowd than Mom and her dining room set), that has seen use.

If you really want them, suggest offering an unsolicited BIN during the action via email, as you know auction will fail. Say, ask $65 firm and you pay shipping (at a reasonable cost).

    Not too bad sounding either.

Matt used to let the employees lick the surrrounds during the day. Seemed to make them more productive. That's where the shine comes from. It's natural and harmless. Same for the Peerless tweets. They would poke holes in them and suck the gases out. ;)
