I sure would like to have a complete set or two of these rings.

He has now a 15" ring and a 6.5" ring, so what other size would be needed?

I have a couple of spare 12" PRs, maybe we could get a set made up for each size of the PRs to go with the 6.5" drivers.

Put me in line for some of these if you decide to sell them. I want a set for my SDA-1C's.

    Good job Larry!!!

Great idea on the rings. I just got done drilling out my 12" passives and inserting dowels with wood glue to fix them. This is a much more elegant solution. Well done. If you ever offer these, I'd love to have a chance to purchase them.

    Hope your back online soon...
I like to listen, tinker, listen and repeat.

This reminds me of Magico's driver mounting. Can't seem to find the link, but there was an interview with the designer about how every speaker he ever checked had loose screws- by mounting the drivers to aluminum on the other side of the cabinet, it can't pull lose and you maintain the tight, immobile seal. My gallos are the same way- no way they'll pull loose, but anytime you've got screws going into MDF/wood, it'll pull over time.

It crossed my mind, that as well as the crossover plate but there have been no problems with the nut inserts so I left them as is, also where the tweeters are there is a lot of cross bracing around them to make a ring.. if there is ever a problem I will do something...

But to seal the tweets, you need a good mounting system. I have 2 holes stripped in the tweeters. With rope caulk and good mounting one can seal up these holes as well!

    Come on TFLF!!!!

    What's TFLF even mean?
CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.

Hmm...Depending on the price, I might be interested in a set of these for my 2A's. I've got a few loose screws in them, and these would work perfectly to give them a solid connection.

I'd also be interested in some kind of tweeter mounting ring if you come up with something, since I've also got a loose screw in one of my tweeters, IIRC.
