Gary Coleman has died as the result of injuries he suffered earlier this week, the hospital tells TMZ.

We've learned Gary's wife, Shannon, made the decision to pull life support early this AM.

We're told Coleman died at 12:05 PM MST. He died of a intracranial hemorrhage.

Family members and close friends were at Coleman's side when life support was pulled.

He was 42.

As TMZ first reported, Coleman was rushed to a hospital in Utah after he fell and hurt his head. He was on life support since Thursday.

There will be a press conference at the hospital at 3:00 PM PT.

    Regardless of whats said about his life,it was a pretty hard one overall, especially with all the medical problems...

    That is just sad. Brought laughter to our family. He must have had a hard life. Poor fellow.

    RIP Gary, you were a very funny young man who lived tough life with major medical problems.

    It's amazing how Gary Coleman lived his life with all kinds of deadly diseases especially the kidney disease and then he goes out like this. RIP Gary, you gave me some belly laughs way back.

    Just a side note. This reminds of Dr. Atkins. Seventy two years old, in great shape, runs out of his house to play tennis, slips on the ice, cracks his head and dies a couple of days later. UGH! At 72 I would just hope I could just get around let alone play tennis.
