For sale is a beautiful pair of Spendor SP3/1P speakers. These speakers are approximately 4 years old, light cherry in color and have been gently used and cared for. The Spendors have a reputation for outstanding quality and performance. These are matched units that are living room presentable in the finest of homes. They can be bi-wired, bi-amped or use single speaker cables with the jumpers (included). I could not find a mark on the wood. If you remove the grills and hold them up to the light I can see some small markings on the cloth which are invisible when on the speaker. The tone and image of these speakers are pure audiophile bliss. These have matched serial numbers and I have the original shipping boxes, packing and manual. The link for more technical information

These speakers retail for approximately $1,700, I am offering these to Polkies for a discount before they go on Audiogon next week. The price for Polkies is $1,075 firm, shipped CONUS. I’ve sold equipment here for more than five years and I stand behind all of my sales. I will sell these to Club Polk members in good standing and reserve the right to refuse offers from trollers or members without positive feedback. PayPal is accepted!

Carl, are those Skylan stands and are they for sale to the person buying the speakers?

    Hi Jesse!

The stands are made by Atlantis. They are about 36" tall (I could measure them), filled with lead and weigh about 50 lbs each. They would be available for sale with the speakers. However, there is no easy and economical way for me to ship these. It would almost have to be a local pickup. These stands are premium quality, have removable spike, adhesive pads, etc. Retail was about $400. These are as good as they get. I haven't really thought about an asking price but I would sell them with the speakers for a decent price if the buyer wanted them.

Did I see a pushed dust cap in one of the speakers? or it was just the lighting?

Great speakers! Carl - it does look like one of the dust caps is pushed in based on the pictures.

These speakers would even be worthy of MIT cables :p

Very nice monitors Carl. Nothing wrong with a pushed dust cap. Absolutely no impact to the sound, and very easy to fix.

Thanks for all the kind remarks folks! I did notice the dust cap after I took the picture. I popped it out with a little tape. I am going to retake the pic without the grills if I have to put it on Audiogon.

Please Forum members, I don't want to sell this outside our community. Members here can trust the seller.:D

I know nothing about the speakers, I do know the seller, very trustworthy.. And if Carl owned them, they must be top notch.

I was visiting Carl last week and was able to hear these speakers. They are freaking amazing!! My son and I were floored by how good they are. The low frequency response is stunning!! Everything sounded great, and I will admit, I just can not afford them at this time, or I would them..
I guess in some things you do get what you pay for, the expense of these will be justified in what you hear!!
P.S. Thank you for having us over Carl, it was a great time!!

    I LOVE Spendor loudspeakers.
CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.
