Recommendations for rt16 room placement?

I just brought these out from hibernation and want to hear some opinions...

    Congrats. You got some awesome speakers.

    Can you describe the room layout?

    Create an equilateral triangle with the listening spot and the two speakers. Your head should be right in the middle and the distance between your 2 speakers should be exactly the same as the distance from each speaker to your head. This is just a good starting point. You can start tweaking when you get used to the sound. Try to give them a minimum of 2 ft of space from the front wall.

    Thank you. I was wondereing about how far fore of the wall mainly. Most of my speakers like more of a corner placement but these didn't seem so.

    and its a mainly rectangular living room room with an archway on one side and a staircase at the back
