speaker hight

How high should my monitor 40,s, That are used for the rear surrounds, be in relation to my ear hight? I have no choice in placement as to how far back they can go as the couch is only about 6 inches from the wall.

    Ideally, they should be about 2-3 feet above ear level, and pointed almost directly towards each other, with about 3 inches or so of toe out towards the listening position.

    This has been my personal experience though. A lot of times, it's really dependent on your specific room/situation.
