It could look so much better if I didn't have electrical tape where there should be shrink tubing. Ah well. It doesn't matter much anyways.

Yeah I should still have around 12-15 feet of tech flex. Maybe I will buy quality wire and an actually hot knife so that the ends don't fray so much.
Maybe I could make them for people on the forum and they just pay what it cost. That could could be fun as well
The Polk Audio Forum Cable Maker!

Heh, had a little bit of a dream there. Oh well. I had fun for the most part.
If someone wants to ship me the supplies or what not I could make the cables for them. They will look as similar as those as I can get. I mean I dunno.

You'd need to get in line. There are a couple other guys here who are already known for their cables. Not that another option would be a bad thing.

It its was more of a joke. I mean if someone wants to I suppose I could. I'd to try out some different cable types. Like I've heard of Cat5 cables and such...although I was told they are A L O T of work.
I mean it was fun and could be a (kind of expensive) side hobby.

Nice work kiddo! BTW if you want to build cables for the forum members you have some stringent competition with Ben.

Have you considered a burnin time to see whether they really open up?

Actually the cables were already half burned in. I had been using the blue cables before got the 12 gauge gold ones. Then, when I got the gold ones I used those.
So, I sound tested them last night. All was in check. At first I thought I had messed the positive/negative up in all that wire confusion, but it was just a loose banana plug. Everything sounds check, I can still hear the little stuff I had been able to hear before, so I didn't downgrade by doing this. Tomorrow I have off, so I will try and do a thorough testing to see if maybe I can pick up anything else that cables may have brought.
I recommend smaller cables for doing this kind of stuff though. Like 16 gauge would be fine. the 14 AND the 12 just added to much work. I am sure, though that if I had had bigger plugs it would have worked out a lot better.
Oh, well. All in all. It looks good, my dad thought we had a python in the house...I was like we live in MAINE, pythons are smart they don't live here.

Oh, I bought some rocket 33s from Audiogon, when I get them in (hoping Thursday) I will let a few people audition them if they'd like. See how they own up to other "bigger" brands.
