they are for real and have been posted here before. I would want proof of their provenance however as any idiot with a can of Krylon can paint something silver and say they are a prototype.

    +1

I've seen them mentioned on here a couple times...but I'd want some kind of proof that they're the real deal.

Personally, I'd pass. I'm not sure if there are any differences in them as far as the XO's go. If they sound different, then maybe they're worth it...otherwise, I'd say no. A pair of RTi8's is definitely not worth $400.

I can't remember if this is the same guy...but if he is this is turning into a Polk "Urban Legend"! The elusive 'silver Polk'....oooooooooooouuuuuuu!

On the other hand maybe it's really Doro with a spray can. lol!

    Just kidding, Mark!

Matt had nothing to do with it, it's a prototype finish that was for the Euro market. No one was staring at it, it's not Polk's sasquatch. Polk's drivers are not made of beef, nor have they added any more, or taken away any less 'beef' from any model.

How it got out, or who ganked them out of Polk's dumpster is another story (hence the damage). ;)

    Cheers,
    Russ
