Got a letter of offer today..............seems like the dollar goes much further in NC than MN..housing 30% less, food 15% less = mo $$$$ for more toys.......feel very very lucky to have found a better job in less than 2 months with great bennies. Any suggestions via PM on where to live or not live would be great..work is where Steele Creek Rd and Westinghouse Blvd meet maybe 5 miles south of the airport off 160.

Congrats! Charlotte is the perfect size city IMO. Not ridiculously big, but it has everything you'd want from urban life. You'll hate the heat in summer, but I'm sure you will love the other 3 seasons down there. I don't know enough about the area to recommend a place to live, but I'm sure there are plenty of nice areas. For rig details, see my profile. Nothing here anymore...

Pm me your phone # and I'll let you know exactly where you do and don't want to live. I know Charlotte like the back of my hand. Congrat's on the job.~ In search of accurate reproduction of music. Real sound is my reference and while perfection may not be attainable? If I chase it, I might just catch excellence. ~

Congrats on the new job! Charlotte is a nice city, I think you'll enjoy it. Just be prepared for driving the daily "Charlotte 500" when getting out on the interstate though. I'm sure Trietz3 will give you the low down on that.
