SDA question

Ok so I am supposed to have these speakers three feet from the wall which I do, but I have a bookcase about 2.5 feet in front of the right speaker against the side wall and it is sticking out about a foot. Should I move the speaker three feet from the bookcase or because it is 2.5 feet in front of the speaker it will be ok?

    Try it both ways and see if you hear a difference.
