Infinity 12" 400-Watt Powered Subwoofer, really tough finding reviews on this one. I am in the market for a sub and have done lots of searches here and the internet but finding it difficult to get info on this sub. Lots of info on the PS-12 but not on this one.
PS-212 is on sale for the next 24 hours for 299.00 CAD and was curious is anyone had any feedback and if I should pick it up.

Polk DSW500 and a Velodyne DLS-4000R are what I have been looking at and then the Infinity one has been added to the mix.

I love my music and have a SACD player so this sub would be used for music as well as movies.

The set up that one of the subs would be working with is:
Fronts: RTI A7's
Centers: CSI A6
Rears: FXi A4's

Any assistance would be appreciated,
Thanks, Greg!

I have never heard this subwoofer, but have read a lot about it. Many, on another website I frequent, recommend this as the best bang for the buck subwoofer. It is supposedly good for both music and home theatre. Again, second hand knowledge, and take it for what it's worth.

I would not think about Infinity. Stick with the Polk, Velodyne or SVS.

Infinity did actually make a decent subwoofer or two.

For some reason i can't find the thread now, but if you remember and can find the thread about the ridiculous frankenstein speakers that floated around Ebay for a month or so, he used some Infinity subs as part of his speaker "design." I forget the model number, but i remember researching them and finding that they were actually supposed to be a VERY competent sub.

    EDIT:

    Was the Infinity SSW-210.
I don't read the newsssspaperssss because dey aaaallllllllll...... have ugly print.

Thanks for the all the input folks. I am not going to pull the trigger on this as the sale was only for two days and I was not able to hear them in the store as it is a holiday today.
I have read some good things about the SVS subs and the Velodyne. I will continue my search. Thanks agian.
