Can anyone help me ID this center channel speaker?
Hi guys,
I got what I believe to be a center channel speaker from a friend, but he didn't have any information about it.
I couldn't find any distinguishing product numbers or anything like that on the box. Just the words "Dynamic Balance" around the center piece (I apologize, I'm still new when it comes to audio), and what seems to be an older version of the Polk Audio logo on the front of the grill (again, forgive my ignorance if that's not the correct term).
Here are some photos of the speaker in question:

If anyone can tell me what this model is, or where I can find documentation, I'd really appreciate it. I've been buying home-theaters-in-a-box for years, and finally decided that it was time to try something new. I picked up a Pioneer VSX-920-K receiver, and I want to make sure the receiver won't hurt this center channel (or vice versa).
Thanks guys!

Welcome to Club Polk! Not exactly sure what it is, maybe this:

In any case, I don't think there will be any "hurt" occurring due to its pairing with your Pioneer. What are you using for main speakers?;) -
welcome to CP.
I think the tweeter is wrong for the cs150.
It might be either the cs200 or cs250.http://www.polkaudio.com/homeaudio/products/recent/cs200/
Either way I would agree with mdaudioguy it shouln't hurt your pio. -

Fantastic, thanks for all the help guys. I've looked around based on the model #s suggested, and the cs250 looks identical (except that the label on the back has been removed on mine). It says it's magnetically shielded, which is perfect for where I wanted to place it.
Not sure what I'm using for main speakers yet- right now I've got some Samsung 5.1 speakers that shipped with my last receiver/dvd player. I was planning on using those until I found the right replacements. Since I got this center channel and a polk audio sub for free from a friend, I've still got quite a bit left in the budget for the rest of the setup.
Any recommendations for the rest of the speakers? I'd like to eventually get the whole 7.1 setup from polk, just wondering if this older center channel will sound out-of-place compared to newer main speakers. -
Ron, look for some LS50's or 90's....thats what im looking for:).Polk Audio Surround Bar 360
