New HT Setup questions

I currently have a 7 year old system with the cheapest Polk center channel and subwoofer, and Polk Monitor 50 and R50 speakers. I will be getting a new system probably in June. My living room is 15W 26L 9H and I am considering the following setup.

Vizio VF552XVT TV
Onkyo 608 receiver
Polk RTi A5 Front
Polk FXi A4 Surround
Polk CSi A4 Center
Polk DSW Pro 400 or 500 ??
Denon DBP-1611UD Blu Ray (June) or Oppo BDP-83
Directv HD DVR Receiver

What do think of this setup, and any recommendations for TV and speaker stands.

Thanks,

Tom

Looks good to me.As for speakers stands, the RTiA5's are floor standing. And the FXiA4's some people do have stands for them for which they cant wall mount .

Im assuming the 608 has pre-outs? You want to have room to grow your system. Welcome to CP!

Did you get a new one or decide on that refurbished deal with the extended warranty?

Thats what I thought, I would seriously consider an AVR with pre-outs.....you'll thank yourself later.

Thanks for all the help. I had not thought about getting a 707 and a amp, I'll have to check that out.

I would be using the FXi A4 as my rear speakers, in a 4 speaker system, would it be better to use the Monitor 50's that I already have and use the money to buy a refurbished amp

My understanding is that the RTi, Fxi, and CSi are designed to work together, would they sound better than the Monitor's.

    Thanks again,

    Tom
